This is the age kids start saying "I want to make my own game." Give them a real shot at it — with structure, coaching, and teammates.
In 60 minutes, your child will
- Build a small project they can show you at pickup (not a worksheet — something that runs)
- Work alongside peers on a shared challenge
- Get coached through frustration — the same persistence we teach every week
Why coding
Coding turns imagination into something playable. Your child learns that computers respond to clear thinking, not magic — and that mistakes are part of the process. We bridge block-based tools into real programming concepts so growth feels natural.
Right for 3rd–5th grade
They are ready for projects with a beginning, middle, and end. This trial shows whether they are hungry for creating on screen — games, animations, apps — week after week.
More than a tech class
Love to Code Academy is a character development academy. Every session, students practice teamwork, persistence, and ownership — not just skills. Small classes. Real tools. Coaches who know your child by name.
What happens after the trial?
If it is a fit, we will recommend the right ongoing class and belt level. If not, you will still leave knowing whether coding or robotics excites your child — with zero pressure to enroll.
Free session. No semester commitment.
At the end of the session, you'll have a quick sit-down chat with a coach to go over how your child did and answer any questions about enrollment options.
Common questions
He ended up designing and coding an entire game in Scratch 3, which is something I honestly don't think he would have ever tried on his own before this program... He kept adding new ideas and, even when something didn't work, he would figure it out and try again instead of giving up.
The classes challenged them in the best way and sparked a new love for coding and robotics. I especially loved seeing the confidence they gained as they learned new skills and pushed through challenges.
The staff were so engaged, enthusiastic, and supportive throughout the entire program. My boys absolutely loved going and were always excited to tell me about what they learned that day.
