First designs often fail usefully. This sprint builds persistence: change one variable, retest, and improve the system.
Character focus this sprint
We intentionally practice Practice, Persistence alongside every coding and robotics skill.
In four weekly sessions, your child will
- Iterate a design or control sequence over four weeks
- Test, measure, and adjust with coach language
- Stay with ambiguity before asking for the answer
- Celebrate learning from failed tests
Why Innovation Engineers
Engineers grow through practice. Students learn that persistence turns “it broke” into “we know why.”
Right for 6th–8th
This track treats students like engineers: tradeoffs, constraints, iteration, and systems thinking. Your child should leave thinking we designed that to solve a problem.

Love to Code Academy is a character development academy. Every session, students practice teamwork, persistence, and ownership — not just skills. Small classes. Real tools. Coaches who know your child by name.
One sprint = four instructional sessions. Weeks that contain New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas are skipped for all classes — the sprint extends to the next available week.
