Minecraft Education

Minecraft Esports (6th–8th)

Thursday · 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM

Most Minecraft play happens alone. Here your child joins a team, builds a strategy, and competes with a coach in the room.

They still want the win. They also have to lead a role when the round breaks.

6th-8th 6 seats only Coach-led

They compete fairly.

Your child learns a coached build-battle format: a plan, a role, a timed challenge, and a look back at what worked.

A coach notices.

Coaches name what your child just did, in the moment. Classes stay small, and every session runs in a private Minecraft Education world. No public servers.

Progress you can see.

You get a simple note on what your child practiced and how they handled the hard part, not only what they built.

Competition is fun until a child only knows how to play when they are winning.

Loves the contest, but falls apart when the round goes badly?

Uncoached competition. Trash talk, solo hero plays, and no one naming what fair play looks like.

Public servers will give them a match. They will not give you a coach who stops the room and names sportsmanship.

Kids should not have to choose between the energy of competition and the character to handle it.

The plan

1

Meet your coach and confirm this is the right Minecraft class for your child.

2

Watch your child plan, try, and fix the work in class.

3

Enroll and keep building skill and character, class after class.

  • No prior experience is needed, and your child does not bring equipment.
  • Parents may observe where operationally appropriate.
  • You get a simple email on what your child learned and how they're progressing.

What a class looks like

The format is set before class. Roles are clear. The coach stays in the round.

1

Plan the round

Assign roles and a backup plan before the round starts.

2

Play it

Make fast decisions with the team.

3

Reset

Stay composed when the plan fails.

4

Reflect

Say what worked, without blaming a teammate.

What your child learns in Minecraft Esports

Every skill is practiced and shown in class, not memorized.

Learn the class build-battle format.

Make quick decisions under friendly pressure.

Build and defend a strategy as a team.

Compete, then reflect on the process, not only the score.

Your child does not need Minecraft at home. Sessions run on the academy's Minecraft Education setup.

What parents notice

Before

Plays to win alone. Goes quiet or sharp when the round turns.

After

They steady a teammate instead of taking the round over.
