Ages 11–13 (6th Grade – 8th Grade)
Real skills. Real projects. Real confidence.
Tech Foundations Camp is built for older students who are new to coding and robotics. No prior experience required — and no judgment for starting here. Students spend mornings creating in Scratch and afternoons building and programming VEX GO robots, with instructors who meet every student exactly where they are.
Morning Coding
There is no wrong time to start coding — and Tech Foundations Camp is proof of that. Students who have never written a line of code leave this week having built real projects in Scratch that they designed themselves. More importantly, they leave understanding that coding is not a talent you are born with. It is a skill you build, one session at a time, with the right support around you.
Afternoon Robotics
Robotics in Tech Foundations Camp is designed to be approachable without being easy. VEX GO builds give students real engineering challenges at a scale that feels achievable — and instructors are intentional about coaching students through the moments when it doesn't go as planned. Those moments are not setbacks. They are the most important part of the week.
Tech Foundations Camp is designed for the older student who feels like they missed the window to start. They didn't. This week gives them a structured, supportive environment to build real skills without the pressure of being the least experienced person in the room — because everyone starts somewhere. The confidence shift parents see by Friday is the thing they didn't expect, and the thing they remember most.
