Ages 8–10 (3rd Grade – 5th Grade)
Real skills. Real STEM. Real fun.
What if your favorite sports could be coded, built, and competed in by you? STEM in Sports is a five-day camp for students in grades 3 through 5 that combines sports-themed game design in Scratch with hands-on sports inspired robotics challenges using VEX GO. Whether this is your first time coding or you have done it before, this camp is built for every skill level!
Unlike other coding programs that focus on only individual work, STEM in Sports is grounded in a collaborative first environment. We work together, code together, and help each other out. No coder left behind.
Morning Coding
Ever wondered what it would take to build your own sports video game? In STEM in Sports, students use Scratch to design and build their own sports-themed animations and games from scratch over the course of the week. Along the way they explore core game design concepts including sprites, backdrops, score variables, motion blocks, and more, the same building blocks used in real game development.
Each day includes dedicated open-ended game design time where students apply what they just learned to their own custom sports game. By the end of the week every student walks away with a game they designed, built, and can call their own.

The Love to Code Academy Difference
At Love to Code Academy, we believe the best learning happens when students are challenged, supported, and in an environment where who they are becoming matters just as much as what they are building. That is why every session is led directly by our in-house software developers and mechanical engineers, bringing real-world professional experience into the room and giving students an authentic look at what a career in tech actually looks like.
Built into every day are character connection activities and community breaks where students step away from their screens, take on building challenges, collaborate, and get to know the people around them.
At Love to Code Academy, we grow kids, not just coders. We are not just building game developers and engineers this week. We are building confident, persistent, and collaborative students who know how to show up, work hard, and lift the people around them.
