Ages 8–10 (3rd Grade – 5th Grade)
A full week of coding, designing, and building worlds.
Code & Create Camp is a dedicated coding week where students alternate between Scratch and Minecraft Education Edition across the week — designing games and animations in Scratch, then applying those same logic skills inside Minecraft's creative environment. VEX VR ties both together with virtual robotics challenges.
Coding
Code & Create Camp gives students two of the most engaging coding environments available for this age group — and connects them in a way that makes each one stronger. Scratch teaches students to think like designers: building logic, creating feedback loops, making projects respond to the player. Minecraft Education Edition teaches students to think like engineers and world builders: applying the same coding concepts in a three-dimensional environment where creative possibilities are limitless. VEX VR adds a third dimension — virtual robotics — that challenges students to apply their coding thinking in yet another context.
Code & Create Camp is for the student who gets bored easily and needs a week that keeps moving. Three platforms, three creative environments, and one consistent thread — the idea that coding is a skill that works everywhere. Parents tell us it is the week that produces the most questions at the dinner table, because their child cannot stop thinking about what they want to build next.
